Moby: "'Future Quiet' is, not surprisingly, quiet. To avoid any misunderstanding: I love bombast. I love excess and volume. But as the world gets louder and crazier, I find myself needing the refuge of silence, both as a listener and as a musician. For me, and hopefully for others, 'Future Quiet' is a refuge. The world is more demanding than ever. The world is screaming at us, our screens are screaming at us, other people are screaming at us, and to escape that screaming, we need safety and refuge. That, for me, is the purpose of 'Future Quiet.' Writing and recording it was a refuge for me, and I hope listening to it will be a refuge for you." Moby's latest album features several guests, including serpentwithfeet and Jacob Lusk (of Gabriels). The latter sings on "When It's Cold I'd Like To Die," which, thanks to its inclusion in the final season of Stranger Things, has been peaking on streaming services for months.
