Danish punk band Iceage has ventured into quite a few side quests since their debut, New Brigade (2011): country, rockabilly, shoegaze, piano ballads, Pogues-esque folk. One could call For Love of Grace & the Hereafter 'back to basics', but in reality, all those little experiments melt together here into one blazing furnace of riffs. What a joie de vivre radiates from the music (and how pitch-black are the lyrics!).
