Alan Sparhawk sang with his wife, Mimi, throughout his career—together they formed Low. Now that Mimi is gone, Sparhawk sings alone, in pain. Last year, he hid his vocals behind auto-tune; now he sings with all his heart, together with the alt-country band Trampled By Turtles. Beautiful and heartbreaking.
